Duties of the Constables' Office.

Precinct 1 is a district in Dallas County.Precinct 1 encompassing cities such as Dallas, Oak Cliff, Seagoville, Duncanville, DeSoto, Glenn Heights, Wilmer, Hutchins, and Combine

Law Enforcement Duties:

- Peace Officer Authority: Make arrests, issue traffic tickets, and conduct criminal investigations.

- Enforce Laws: Patrol neighborhoods, enforce criminal and traffic laws, and ensure public safety.

- Assist Other Agencies: Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and emergency services.

Civil and Judicial Duties:

- Serve Legal Documents: Execute and return civil process documents, including lawsuits, subpoenas, and temporary restraining orders.

- Enforce Court Orders: Carry out judgments, evictions, and property seizures as directed by the court.

- Assist Courts: Act as bailiffs in Justice of the Peace courts and provide security during court proceedings.

- Execute Judgments: Execute and return writs of execution, which involve seizing and selling property to satisfy court judgments.

Community Services:

- Community Outreach: Participate in community-oriented programs, such as neighborhood watch initiatives and senior fraud prevention workshops.

- Enforce Regulations: Enforce regulations, including those pertaining to disabled parking.
